Starbucks Via Instant

Starbucks Via was a group project where I had to create a 15 second animation promoting Starbucks Via Instant. For this assignment,we had to collaborate on what our big idea would be and each create our own animation that would help express our big idea. We decided we wanted to focus on the three different types of Starbuck’s blends. I had the Blonde Roast which I chose the Veranda Blend to focus on. I came up with the idea of “Delicious Blends in just 10 seconds” to promote that Starbucks Via Instant is quick and can be done anywhere. As a group we decided that we wanted to show the top view of the cup. From that idea I decided that it would be cool to show the background of the package and shoot a close up for the animation. At the end we would zoom out and the whole package would be shown. I took the initiative to re-create all of the packages so they were similar, yet a new design from what Starbucks had. I tried my best to make the packages look as close as possible to what Starbucks had. Each member then had to create their own design that would go behind the cup. Since, Starbucks Via Instant is versatile I thought putting a wood texture in the background of the animation would help to create that feel. The animation is simple, but effective.
