Katerina the Clever

Katerina the Clever was a self-promotional piece where I collaborated with the Finger Lakes Community College Theater Department to make a poster, print ad, web ad, and program cover for the play they were putting on. The client had no idea what they wanted and all the illustrations were inspired by scenes in the play itself. My research included reading the play. All of the illustrations are done with watercolor. The struggle I found was that the client wanted too much information in not enough space so I had to figure that out and talk with the client about what was important and what might be okay if it was left off. While each format is slightly different the client was happy with the end result.
